“The Stocked Kitchen,” by at-home cooks Sarah Kallio and Stacey Krastins, has revolutionized the way that meals are made. Instead of buying random ingredients that recipes call for, the two moms with engineering and manufacturing backgrounds, have standardized the ingredients of the kitchen and created one, unchanging grocery list. In “The Stocked Kitchen,” they have compiled over 300 recipes that only use the items on that list. No more Sunday evening recipe planning and grocery list making. No more standing in front of an open pantry, full of random ingredients, saying, “I have nothing to make.” No more prepackaged lasagnas taking up room in the freezer for “just in case.” The family friendly and guest worthy recipes range from appetizers to desserts to brunches and everything in between. The list includes paella, chicken satay, and shrimp ceviche along side great basics like pizza, sloppy joes, and tacos.
