recipe type: Kids Love!Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1 C (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 3/4 C packed brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 C mini chocolate bars, frozen and chopped (I just throw them all in a food processor and pulse a few times. I use anything that has chocolate in it, Snickers, Butterfinger, M&Ms, Almond Joy, Whoppers, etc.)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a bowl, with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth, scraping down sides of bowl as needed.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir or beat into butter mixture until well incorporated. Fold in chopped candy pieces.
- Drop dough in 2-tablespoon portions, 2 inches apart, onto parchment paper covered cookie sheets.
- Bake until cookies are lightly browned, approximately 9 to 11 minutes.
- Let stand on pan to firm up, 2 to 5 minutes, then transfer to racks to cool completely.
