In 2006, there was a playdate. Stacey Krastins and Sarah Kallio sat chatting while their small cherubs played or napped, and they found themselves asking eachother, "What do you want to be when you grow up!" At the time, they both worked part-time from their homes, but both, at one time or another, had wanted to own their own businesses. It just so happened that they both loved to cook and entertain, and at one point, Stacey asked the question,"Wanna write a book?" In 2010, The Stocked Kitchen received a Gold Medal in Cookbooks from Independent Publisher Book Awards. They were also named by Business Review finalists in the Innovation Michigan awards. Like I said...this is not just a cookbook! Sarah and Stacey have made many appearance on TV and on cooking stages, touting their exceptional system. Their outgoing, but polar opposite personalities, make for a fun and interesting experience! The Stocked Kitchen has also been featured in countless newspaper, magazine, and online articles. In 2011 Atria Books, a division of Simon and Schuster, published the newest edition of The Stocked Kitchen! |

Stacey Krastins grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan Technological University. She currently lives in Denver, CO. She is a wife and mother of two handsome boys and is straight haired and straight talking. She is a determined and organized perfectionist with a generous heart.

Sarah Kallio grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University. She currently lives in Grand Haven, MI. She is a wife and mother of two gorgeous girls and is a tenacious redhead who loves to laugh. Along with sometimes being a bit scattered, she is filled with creativity and passion.
